Cancelled flights

I was due to fly to frankfurt tomorrow with lufthansa but flight has been cancelled. Website not working for me and phone lines are either dead or 1 hours wait (not freephone).

Can anybody help me please - if my outbound flight is cancelled but not my inbound (next Monday, booked together), can i get a refund on both flights or just the cancelled one?

if you want to cancel the return journey as the outbound has been cancelled by the airline, then you should be able to do that no problem once you ask them.

You should get a full refund, but they are in an awful mess with their attempts to go low-cost and resulting strikes so it may take a while to sort out. Meanwhile other airlines should be operating normally, if it's an important trip.

If you have booked as a return, rather than two separate one way tickets, given these conditions (a strike by some LH employees), they would normally allow a full cancellation/refund of your flight itinerary.

The way they see it is, if you've not travelled out because of their strike action, then you're not in a position to use the return sector of the ticket, so they'll give you a full refund.
