    did you read this
To be eligible for the HSBC Advance Bank Account you must be over 18 and pay in at least £1,750 into your account each month( or a minimum £10,500 every six months) not including money transferred from other sole or joint personal account (s) you hold with HSBC Bank. Applications are subject to status and internal checks

I would think you need to be already paying in before opening the account, not satrting after it is opened.

    Yes I did read that.

Did you not read the part where I had funded the account with £2k in both October and November before making the application?

I haven't used HSBC as a main account since student/graduate days as the only benefit was a interest free OD, once it became chargeable it was cleared and used others banks to earn interest and perks etc.

Now HSBC have something I want - access to another 6% saver to go with my FD one and the £120 Save Together ISA offer as I have not contributed to my ISA yet this tax year.

I will see what the letter says and go from there, either get the account on appeal/complaint or use it as a donor account to get a switching bonus!

    HSBC making baking difficult!!
It's not a business they are experienced in, that's why. They should ask Mary Berry for help.
They'll take care of your dough though.... ;)
