PIP for my son

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me, i have a 25 year old son who has ADHD + Aspergers.

He was diagnosed in 1997 with Aspergers and ADHD by a professor at the local children mental health unit.

He currently claims ESA and is placed in the work related activity group. he has been on ESA since 2010

I'm just curios to see if he is entitled to PIP as the money would be a great help.

My son is unable to socialise with others because it causes him so much stress. he is also since 2011 he is being prescribed risperidone.

He's unable to cook his own food because he forgets he has got the oven on. and needs prompting to take a bath and what not

he can't travel without me or my husband with him and some times he refuses to travel what so ever.

Any help would be appreciated.

my advice would be to claim PIP,no one here or any forum knows if he will get it or not but he won't if he doesn't apply, get the forms and any supporting evidence available then see if you can get help from CAB or welfare rights with the application
    good luck

Ring your council too, some give free bus passes to people who are on long term disability, and if he cant treavel on his own maybe he could get a pass with a C on it which allows a Companion to travel free too.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
