Yes, your accident may have accelerated your condition.0

No the cervical spondylosis cannot be caused by the accident as it is a naturally occurring condition and is known as a degenerative condition. i.e. it gets worse over time.
What the road accident may have done is aggravated the underlying degenerative problems such as prolapsed disc or narrowing of the vertebrae. The result of this is that people with a pre-existing (could be a symptomatic or asymptomatic )degenerative problem never fully recover after a collision, but what has happened is the accident has accelerated the onset of your problem - i.e you were always destined to suffer with such problems even if never involved in a trauma, but the accident has brought forwards the onset of a permanent problem by x/months/years etc.
If you have not made a claim for this before, you need to get your skates on. If you have already claimed injury compensation and been paid out, odds are you won't be able to do anything about it now.0
