that isnt the true price when u go through to buy...it jumps it up with all crap dell add on..

thats a decent spec fully loaded pc for a run of the mill..
if ur just word processing and internet browsing then u can get away with even less than that.
but thats got a 19" TFT and mouse and all the goodies etc....
EDIT: it is out of stock. but worth maybe holding on for a week see if they get any others in. or see what else they have on offer.0 -
I went to the point in checkout without putting in card details and the price stayed constant.
The system you linked is good but not much better than what I have now and I do play games (world of warcraft adict)
Will keep looking but thanks for the replyNuts oh Hazelnuts:rotfl:0 -
Have a look at this similar thread, & this post in particular.
As detailed there, you can configure the Dell Vostro 200 MT to suit your needs & budget. You'll get something better than the one you linked to for about the same money or less.
First, reduce the warranty to Base & include the 22" TFT like in your original choice.
No Windows Premium, but you could call them to change it to this if required.
The Intel E6550/E6750 CPUs are more powerful than the AMD 5000+. C2Ds are better for gaming too. A benchmark comparison list.
Add your own better graphics card to go with it as detailed in that post - all the ones suggested are better than the 8300GS in your original Dell. If you must have a DX10 card (especially if you choose Vista), but cannot afford a 8800 series one, go for a 8600GT/GTS at the very least. G0 -
Thanks goofy I will have a play with that and see what I can get for similar money
had a play and cant seem to change the graphics card but will play some moreNuts oh Hazelnuts:rotfl:0 -
