Important Improvements to Your Energy Account.
We are making improvements as a direct result of having listened to our customers who tell us they don't like estimated bills. As part of our ongoing commitment to the
environment these improvements will also help us reduce the amount of paper we use.
If you have been a customer for more than a year we plan to send you a statement every six months after we have called to read the meter. This means we will no longer send you an estimated statement in between times.
When we send you a statement we will check your payments to ensure you are paying the right amount. We will let you know if you are paying too much or too little.
To improve our service still further we will also make it easier for you to contact us by giving you a freephone telephone number.
We recognize that one size does not fit all. If you would like to continue to receive your statements every three months just give us a call.0 -
Ken,
That doesn't seem to clarify the situation.
The reference to "we will check your payments to ensure you are paying the right amount" leads me to believe that those payments are Direct Debits.
If the bills were to be paid every 6 months(after the meter was read) the payments by definition would be the 'right amount'.0 -
6 monthly billing is only coming in for customers on monthly direct debit.0

The 2.55pence for Equigas is including VAT and no standing charge. No discounts either for paying by direct debit .Energyhelpline quote 2.40pence for SE standard gas plus a daily standing charge of 12.35pence.0 -

Could be Cardew, and seems like the first letter to surface.0
