Tesco Direct later deliveries

Ordered some items 5/11 for delivery next day to store.

One of the three items gets delivered next day, good.

I get communication that the others will be delayed to 10/11, not great.

On 10/11 at 11pm, I get comunication that the items will be delivered 17/11, what?!

I know they're busy, but that's a bit ridiculous really.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Yes, I also ordered on 5th November, and I noticed that there was a message on the website advising of delays and that deliveries were taking 5-7 days so was not expecting it to arrive quickly.
Luckily mine's not urgent, it'll come when it comes and that's fine with me.

I've had the same issue. I rang after 7 days. Apparently they've had trouble with Yodel who handle the parcels for the, around 20,000 were returned to Tesco, not delivered to stores!

I rang again today (as advised yesterday) and the items are despatched although will take a week to arrive (oddly tho when I click tracking they're on their way north to Aberdeen, despite me living in Herts!

The lad yesterday said if I needed it to ring Thursday and they'd get Hermes to deliver it to door FOC). When I rang back today most of my items were out of stock so I didn't bother. I did ask for some clubcard points to be added to my account (as I'd paid with points) and the lovely lady on the phone credited my bank account with £20, which I thought was really decent.

Yep ordered on 31st, supposed to be delivered by 7th. Then get an email today saying been dispatched. 2 things out of stock now which is annoying.

Same here, ordered Wednesday evening last week, two emails so far of delay with no idea when my item will actually be delivered to store.

When I saw this I thought I would check my order made yesterday as it is gift, to see if there would be a delay, but much to my surprise it has been despatched.


Perhaps because it is coming direct from the manufacturer even though it is supplied by Tesco?

Ordered an item on 3rd November and given delivery dates between 4th and 9th, checked on the 9th order had not yet even been dispatched, finally received an email yesterday to say dispatched, checked the tracking this morning to find that apparently it was delivered in Aberdeen at 10.30 this morning.

Rang Tesco and told them that Aderdeen is not quite in Cornwall, lady apologised and on checking with the carrier it is apparently out for delivery from their local depot today, awaiting further developments.

Second item ordered a day later on the 4th which I was given a delivery date of the 13th was delivered to my local store on 9th.


Edit:- Item arrived at 6.30 this evening.

Yep, waited a week for a 'next day delivery'. it didnt cost me for postage, as I have delivery saver, but annoying.

They shipped one thing out on time to me so I had to have two deliveries. Fortunately I'm at home all day anyway and it wasn't really urgent but that would be really irritating for most people. This was before their warning went up too.

I placed a large order on the 3rd and it still hasn't been dispatched. I wouldn't mind as I don't need it till Christmas, but there's a good chance items will go out of stock :mad:

I finally received a 'despatched' email this morning, it did say that the item would be in store for collection by Friday (i.e. up to another six days).

Fortunately I have received a text at 6pm tonight to say that it has arrived.

That's about 10 days. Pretty darn slow.
