Help Please Wiyh Lost Puegeot Key

My DD1 has lost her 1 and only car key. She is pulling her hair out.

So far she has been to the Puegeot garage with her documents and paid£20 to get the key number which links to the chassis nmber and registration number.

Then she paid £26 to a key shop for 2 keys so that she will neber be in this position again.

On return from the key shop the key fits in the ignition perfectly but will not turn at all. The key shop says that because the car has done nearly 100,000 miles the ignition may be worn so a new key will not work:confused:

Any ideas that will help us will be so gratefully received

Go back and get them to supply properly cut keys. Most people have a brand new never used key somewhere kept as a spare. Are they trying to say that these won't work when needed? What about the door locks?
