Hiya, we were just away and we had a 'basic kitchen' which included the oven with separate grill and a hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. Also included were the pots and pans, some basic cleaning and the usual utensils and crockery. Not bad :)

I have done a meal plan, although I do start mine from Monday, makes it easier somehow  and it's at home, so I'll post it when I'm at my mum and dad's next (hopefully tomorrow).

    Lx

P.s. I hope both of you have lovely holidays and that the weather's decent :) x

Hello! I have a meal plan for this week - for once! Even done one for lunches too. I've also just made an inventory of everything I have in my cupboards (why have I got 4 packets of brown sugar? ) so I'm going to use that as the basis for next weeks meal plan.

This weeks teas (in no particular order)

    Spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread
    Barley Burritos
    Vegetable risotto and garlic bread
Lentil soup and cornmeal muffins (never made these muffins before so hopefully they will turn out ok!)
Tofu and crunchy vegetable stir fry (with rice)
    Lentil chilli and rice
    Macaroni cheese with mixed vegetables.

This week I plan on making some flapjacks, fairy cakes and a pineapple upside down cake for treats.

    Lunches are:
    Leftover lentil soup with bread
Leftover macaroni cheese served with some steamed veg
Leftover lentil chilli served in a tortilla with salad
    Scrambled eggs, beans and toast
    Cheese and coleslaw sandwiches
Noodles and stir fried veg (buy cheap tesco value super noodles - about 7p i think! Throw away the seasoning sachet and stir fry with left over stir fry veg from tofu stir fry. i use some soy sauce to flavour it with)
Will be having lunch out one day this week, so only have 6 lunches planned.

All this, plus breakfasts and plenty fruit for snacks cost me £65 from tesco (and will feed a family of 5).
