PIP assessment too far away!

Ok, so DH has had his PIP medical appointment come through and its nowhere near home! Its at 8am on a saturday morning which would mean catching a train at 5.45am to make the appointment. Can they make him go that far for the appointment when there are test centres closer to home. He's not bothered about the medical its just the distance we have to go to get there!
Any advice?

They do this all the time to test you! Ring the number on the letter and tell them it's just too far away, They can't make you attend this because of the distance. They'll offer you another appointment closer to home. Good luck.0
