Were the delivery charges for the delivery of the item to you, or for the return?
If it's the former you should have been refunded the whole amount (goods and postage)
If it's the latter (assuming you got a label from them) then it's a little more complicated. Did they say you must pay for return postage, in a durable medium?0 -
Very offer "interest free for x months" but when you buy something, the delivery cost is not included in the interest free period, and they don't make this particularly clear (or didn't last time I ordered from them).
I had a statement not arrive one month, which meant this went unpaid, and resulted in a late payment marker on my file. I got the "charge" refunded, but not the marker removed.
IIRC, they didn't used to offer a direct debit payment method, (for minimum due amount), which meant they could collect their "late payment" fees from people "forgetting" to pay.
Very has done a lot of make things clearer. When punters order an item on BNPL they are presented with a screen like this:
It's a shame they've chosen to display the information about delivery in lighter text.
IIRC all following statements list BNPL items and there's a warning on the statement before they hit the account.
Very has always offered an option to pay the minimum amount by Direct Debit.0
