    I think people are getting the wrong end of the stick.

    I am not being a NIMBY - I've signed contracts willingly without seeing a plan of the streetlights and I do not have a problem with the streetlighting per se. I am not seeking legal redress - just trying to understand my potential untold or unlearned responsibilities as a result of having this on my land so to speak.

    I don't think the light is in the most logical place, but that's not my problem.
  • i'd be tempted to run the house power off the streetlight.

    I think this was probably what led us to believe that you might be leaning that way:

    "A couple of our neighbours have expressed concern that it is on our boundary and the assistant site manager commented on that fact also whilst having a chat."
