Black Friday and Price Promises

I'm thinking probably not.
My mate is thinking of buying a TV from Currys BUT suppose He buys the TV from them a day or two before Black Friday and that product is significantly reduced on BF would he be able to claim the difference. He's looking at a particular TV and He is going to buy anyway but I'm wondering what the actual condition would be in that case. I'm inclined to think his hard luck

Why doesn't he just wait till Friday?
If its a decent quality TV that's a current model it probably won't be reduced. It tends to be crap like Polaroids at the Asda.0 -
Oddly enough I was think about BF last night and the thought of all those mad shoppers scrambling for goodness knows what.
I would be tempted to leave it until mid afternoon with Currys etc and see what offers you have on, generally speaking if you are armed with info on what you want and you are ready to purchase there and then you can get yourself something decent.
Don't forget now that allot of these big stores are doing price match as well, so fire up your printer and start doing research now and then on the day!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

lets be completely honest here.... in the UK "Black Friday" is used to get rid of all the S*** shops couldn't sell for the rest of the year to make way for Christmas stock.
There were people fighting over LCD TV's in I believe Asda last year where the Police had to be called BUT the actual TV's were made by BUSH. They were cheap and nasty to start off with and yet crowds of people were physically fighting over them. How much discount was there on the LG OLED TVs? or the Samsung Series 9.... diddly squat. Tells you all you need to know.0 -
They were Polaroid and Blaupunkt TV's which are pretty dire at the best of times. I suspect that they were specially brought in to do this sale. The amount of shops that buy in stock just to put in sales is shocking and yet the consumer falls for it.
Only genuine stock was the Dyson on sale at Sainsbury's but TBH you could probably pick them up just as cheap on Amazon!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Another stupid commercialised frantic crush to extract monies from the gullible for things that the stores cannot sell at any other time.0

A few very good comments. I was talking to my mate and he, rather her-indoors, wants a particular set and they'll buy anyway.
Myself, well I'm after a new TV and I have it down to two or three sets.but I'm in no big hurry and probably won't bother until after Christmas0 -
Just heard on the news that Asda is not taking part in Black Friday this year because of what happened in Asda last year.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Black Friday - another stupid idea from "over the pond".0 -
