How Long Current Account Application Take To Show? 2 Weeks & No Noddle Alerts

Another TalkTalk refugee who added free Alerts to my Noddle service...
The whole point was that this was supposed to alert us to crooks applying for stuff in our names. Yet two weeks after opening bank accounts (two, with up to four presumably hard searches), I haven't had a peep from Noddle. No emails, no alerts online.
Noddle have been useless in response, when you ask what the typical reporting delay will be. Social media reps tell you to use contact@noddle.co.uk who haven't replied to this simple query in five days.

The banks you've applied to - you're sure they definitely report to Call Credit?0

Depends on timings, they can only alert you when they have information appear on your report.
The searches will only appear if the lender uses the CRA you are checking.0 -
Interesting. I'd assumed bank accounts were so important, they'd be reported to all three CRA's. (Perhaps they are, but the search preceding it only shows on one?)
All my previous bank accounts showed up on Noddle, but perhaps not rapidly, and perhaps not the search.
Time to try Clearscore. Maybe TSB and NatWest search with Equifax.0 -

I don't agree that it is based on timing as any search would be instantly recorded (otherwise what would be the point) so any future search on the file would show it. Not the case though for standard updates on an existing account which would typically be once a month.
However, it definitely does matter whether the bank reports to Call Credit or not.
The standard Noddle product would only update once a month - so if you did the application after recently looking at your report then you won't see any new information until Noddle allow you to pull a fresh report.
Whether the talktalk alerts are any good though is a different matter0 -
I closed an account - and it appeared as an alert on my noddle account exactly 1 month later.0

This oft-updated thread tells you which CRAs the big companies search with and report to:

I believe some current account applications also do soft-search to start with, then hard-search you later, once the account is open. If they don't like what they see, they close the account again. Or, at least, that's what someone from Halifax account opening team was telling me a few days ago.0
