Gas and Electric ,should i switch ??.
Options
Hello,
I'm currently with NPower on a 'online price fix November 2015 Econmy 7 tariff' , it ends at the end of this month.
My monthly payment is £163, but this figure is too low and they have told me a monthly payment of £210 covers my usage.
Why is this ?, i have given them correct meter readings.
Anyway , i am thinking of going over to Robin Hood energy (i live in Nottingham) anyone had any dealings with this company.
One question , we are on a day/night economy 7 rate , but we don't really use any gas/ leccie between 11 and 7 . Robin Hood energy say they could do us a deal using just a standard tarrif (no day night), would anyone recommend this?.
Any one recommend any other energy providers?.
It seems a minefield out there.
Cheers

Wow you must use a lot of energy or in debt to be paying that amount. I am not a low user myself but my monthly payments are £93 for 3 adults for dual fuel and we are around £400 in credit.
You will be using leccie as you call it between 11-7 abet not much surely if you have some appliances like fridge freezer etc
How do you heat your home you say you dont use much gas, gas is cheaper than electric to heat water0 -
Just make sure that the Eco7 day/night reads are not transposed.Suppliers are always messing it up. The old analogue timer switches are usually not set correctly. Full gas central heating is far better than night storage. The latest MSE BG collective is about the best at the moment for single rate electric tariffs and BG would total the two reads..Its only 8.25 p/kwh single rate for me in my area, with gas down to 2.65p/kwh0

Do a forum search on Robin Hood and you may then want to reconsider...No free lunch, and no free laptop0
