Need a € bank account with fair exchange!

I have € in a skrill(moneybookers) account (poker winnings) that I need to withdraw but I'd like to do so without incurring skrills insane exchange fees.
If I were to cashout directly from skrill to my bank account in GBP they would charge me 3% extra on the exchange rate, which by my understanding is daylight robbery.
I'm hoping there is a cheaper way, such as opening a bank account in euros, withdrawing there and then letting the bank handle the conversion.
If anyone can recommend a good bank account for this I would be extremely grateful!
Thanks,
Mike

There is not a bank that will do what you want without taking its share.
I don't know if a forex dealer could get the money off your skrill account - maybe google for a few and see.0 -
Have a look at somebody like Fidor https://www.fidorbank.uk/ or Monese https://www.monese.com/
I haven't used either in anger yet, just opened an account with Fidor a while back but not used it.
Please report back what you conclude - these are fairly new players in the UK market.

The only thing that fidor offer Euro wise is cheapish outgoing SEPA payments. Their accounts are in Sterling and they have a building society style clearing account for incoming credits.
I wouldn't have made them my first choice for incoming Euro transactions.Archi_Bald wrote: »Have a look at somebody like Fidor https://www.fidorbank.uk/ or Monese https://www.monese.com/

A Revolut account can be 'topped up' directly in USD from a dollar debit card or bank account in the holder's name, without charges, and conversion made to GBP at the interbank rate then used or withdrawn. I am not familiar with Skrill accounts or whether this will work with them, but it would cost nothing to try.Evolution, not revolution0
