UKCPS Centertainment Sheffield

I received an NTK on 25/3/15 asking for £100.00 for being parked 'outside marked bay' on 25 feb 2015. There was no ticket on the vehicle and so I had no idea I was even being 'fined' let alone given the opportunity to pay the initial £60.00.
I responded as the keeper not the driver with the template for newbies no 31/3/15 which they replied to with their rejection of appeal letter on 2/5/15.
I replied on 11/5/15 requesting a copy of the PCN, photographic evidence, copies of all correspondence prior to issue of NTK and a popla code within 28 days.
They responded in July from their debt collecting dept. asking for £150.00.
I responded again asking for all of the above.
I then received a letter from Miah ? solicitors wanting £275.00 or they will issue court action.
So not sure what to do now !!
N.B. all correspondence has my name spelt incorrectly - they have missed off the last 2 letters of my surname. (don't know if this could trip them up or not).
I have now sold the vehicle in question and also moved out of my parents home (to which all the letters are still going to) to live elsewhere. My parents say they will return any further correspondence from these scumbags to sender stating 'Not at this address' - is this wise???
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Comments

  • have you complained to the BPA about the lack of POPLa code?

and as a second comment Miah cannot start court action , there are some very good letters written by Gan on pepipoo , that ask Miah some very good questions that they cannot answer , or by answering correctly would see them getting a good rockocking from the solicitor's regulatory , I suggest you go to pepipoo (private tickets) and search (box top right) for miah , , here's a link to a quick search http://www.pepipoo.com/search-results.htm?cx=002954149332536547518%3Aurx9dzjvubm&cof=FORID%3A9&ie=UTF-8&q=miah&sa=Search&siteurl=forums.pepipoo.com%2Findex.php%3Fshowforum%3D60&ref=forums.pepipoo.com%2Findex.php%3Fact%3Didx&ss=2431j2000929j4

UKCPS left the BPA in 2014 so this OP had no chance of a popla code and no point in appealing to the BPA either as UKCPS are in the IPC

use the forum search and MIAH solicitors to see similar threads

if UKCPS tried a court claim they may get a default judgment out of this if the paperwork is returned and not dealt with by the OP
  • my mistake I was looking at UK Car Park Management Ltd , however gans letters to Miah , are still very relevant and the best I have seen to worry them , as per the £150 fee they are adding on , or £100 to £150 via DR+ and £100 to £275 via miah , and it looks like they are now getting greedier ,

agreed , that is the more important part, especially as UKCPS do try court claims and are likely to increase them after the recent Beavis ruling

I can see this one being ripe for the picking and plucking

they got a winning claim against half empty cup ARFUR due to Beavis losing his case, hence all the whingeing we get from him on here

    Dear Sir

    Ref ****

I note your letter dated ***
Despite the fact that I deny any debt to UKCPS, I do not believe for one minute that your client paid you £150 in legal fees.

Your client has either failed woefully in its duty to mitigate costs of the sum has not been incurred and the demand is fraudulent.
In neither case am I liable for payment. If you insist that the charge is justified please provide a copy of your invoice to UKCPS.
If this is not possible please confirm ,
    1. The invoice number and details of the VAT component
    2. The date your client paid the invoice
    3. Details of the time spent and activities performed for which you charged the client £150

If none of the requested information is provided, I require a full explanation for the charge.
I will not enter into any discussion of the UKCPS parking charge until I'm satisfied by reply .
Please do not contact me again other than to provide the answers to my questions

not so sure about the vat , and the figures may need amending to suit their new ones

If your dates are right 25th Feb and 25th March, then they haven't complied with POFA2012 if there was no NTD left on your vehicle. 14 days is the rule for receipt of a NTK.

more likely to be "ghost ticketing" as UKCPS either dont use or tend not to use ANPR

the 14 day rule is for anpr

my opinion is that they WILL have ticketed the vehicle, then either removed the ticket afterwards OR the ticket "went missing"

they sent the NTK between day 29 and day 56 so more likely to be "ghost ticketing"

February has only 28 days, so according to the OP's timeline it was received on the 28th day.

So it either arrived too early (got the data too soon after a windscreen ticket) or too late for keeper liability if no windscreen PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
