New Build - Served Notice of Completion

Hi there,
We've finally been served notice of completion, with a fixed completion date of the 20th November! We'll be attending a familiarization visit the day before we complete.
Does anyone have any advice of what we need to do (aside from the whole moving aspect...)? Will we need to have recent payslips to hand in-case the mortgage provider asks for additional proof of income? Are there any useful snag checklists available (I've found a couple before, but can't seem to find links to them now?
Thanks.

If you have been served notice then presumably you have already exchanged and therefore have a mortgage offer?
So it's a bit late for the lender to ask for proof of income as you are legally obliged to purchase the property now anyway.0 -
Your familiarization visit will be to go over the property and show you how things work, like the heating. During this time you'll be asked to sign that you are happy with the property, make sure you check everything out and point out all the snags, we found out they had even missed shelves from a cupboard. You'll usually be give around 7 days to then find out all the snags and hand them over in a list.0

OP,
Check out this website for snagging info.

Not sure why you would need payslips at this stage??? Too late to back-out.
Make sure you get BT onside to connect your telephone/broadband ASAP.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

There should be a longer defects period than that usually around 6 months.
According to NHBC the developer will be responsible for a period of time I think it is 2 years after which NHBC take on the liability.
This will vary depending upon the warranty provider.0 -
The 7 days is usually for obvious defects to bathroom suites and the like, all other snags should be covered for 2 years...0
