Hello,
A while ago I got a letter telling me I had parked at the above Bingo car park, there was pictures showing my car etc. they said I didn't pay although I specicly remember paying and remember how much it was, £1.50 although I put in £2 and got no change!!! I was taking the kids to a party close by and remember some of the other folks telling me I should have parked for free on the actual college park (i was now double bugged...)
I went on Facebook and sought advice, everybody told me to ignore all the letters so I did. Anyhow an official letter arrived from the courts (County court business centre)cost now £175, again I went on FB for advice and somebody told me to use Appealparkingticket dot co dot uk site which I did, after paying £16 they have now washed their hands of me...
Help please... I 100% paid although I may have been 11 mins late back (but they had an extra 50p off me)
Thanks for reading.:o

just shows that using facebook was a waste of time and the people offering poor advice are STUPID ! (as Rinder would say)
what you should have done (and do) is read the NEWBIES sticky thread near the top of this forum, it tells you how to deal with private parking charges
as this is now at court stage, read post #5 of that newbies sticky thread
if you need help with a written defence , you should use or try PPA for £18 , not the one you tried which is a phoenix "company"
you can reach PPA via the parking cowboys link in the newbies sticky thread (its about 3 threads from the top of the forum)0 -
PPA are currently considering whether defences are still fair to charge for, in the light of Beavis v ParkingEye when cases may now be lost more often with Judges who may well just shout 'Parking case? Beavis, strike out' Next!'.
Being honest here, this poster has stitched themselves right up. Fancy using Facebook for advice instead of a parking forum or the 'BMPA' or 'ParkingCowboys' or the 'Parking Prankster', all of which would have come up, had you Googled the issue. PE have been suing people left right and centre since 2013 and the old 'ignore' advice goes back to early 2012! Oh dear, this is NOT good.
Blame those FB idiots for your current predicament as this will be expensive unless you can get it cancelled by complaint.
You should complain to the Bingo Management or landowner to try to get it cancelled THIS WEEK and acknowledge the claim online THIS WEEK. And consider making an offer of say, £30 in writing to Parking Eye (email enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk ) if you do not have the proof of parking ticket. DO NOT forget to acknowledge the claim or you lose by default for the entire sum claimed!
Should have responded to the LBCCC which was very clearly a pre-court letter. You could have asked PE for a copy of their register for that day/that time/that car park because you know you paid & displayed and they could have checked for a typo in the Vehicle Registration.
You are now so far on the back foot (even though your case is not like the Beavis case which lost last week) that you have practically fallen over already.
Acknowledge the claim online, now, not adding any defence words YET.
Complain urgently to the landowner.
Come back here by NEXT week, to talk defence wording and a Part 18 Request* to require PE to provide the register which shows your partial VRN (presumably).
https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/rules/part18/pd_part18
That's the link so you know what a Part 18 request is.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
Just to help the OP, the landowner for this car park is the Rank Group. I helped to get one cancelled on this car park but it was a very early stage PCN .. and to be fair, not the fault of PE (the 'victim' had paid the full fee but messed up with their phone "parking app") and nowhere near as far advanced as this. May be too late for that now but as CM suggests, worth a try.
I don't have all the info anymore but check out the planning applications on the Bolton Council website for this car park for contact details etc.0
