Hi everyone
My yahoo email has become slow to the point that I don't check emails anymore. Even typing an email is a problem, it freezes as I'm typing and although it frees up again, it's a painfully long process for what should be a quick email.
My laptop has it's moments, usually with the message that there is a long script and with the option to stop the script, BUT it's not enough of a problem and it is still very functional.
Is there anything I can do with yahoo email? Or do I need to try a new email system and which one would anyone recommend that's free at the moment? Thanks

Is it webmail (i.e. you log in to your email account using a web browser)? You could try using an email client such as Thunderbird instead:

Also there should be an option to load 'basic email' for Yahoo, as I have the same problem abroad.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

Funnily enough, I've been having similar probs with Yahoo. I can get into my emails (albeit very slowly), but then if I read one and then want to return to the inbox list, it doesn't let me. Have to sign out and then back in again and then once again, read one but can't return to the inbox. Painfully slow process......!0

Google's 'gmail' is free. I use it with no issues0 -
Is your email like this on all devices or just your laptop? I got very frustrated with my BT account last year when they separated from Yahoo! so started using gmail and set it up so all my emails from my old address come to my new one so I don't miss anything. I'd definitely recommend that!0
