I have a Sekonda Watch. I want to remove the back and replace the battery. it seems to be a flat back without any grooves to lever it off.
Any suggestions please.

Take it to a watch repair shop or a jeweller. They have the correct tool to do it. Ask how much they charge first and shop around. I had the battery in my watch replaced a couple of months ago at a jewellers shop for £3.50.0

There will probably be a small indentation (you might need a loupe to see it) that you can get a watch back opener into.
Your real problem may be in replacing the back, unless you have a jewellers press.
Unless this is something you're planning to do a lot of, you're probably better off bringing it in to a local jewellers.

My Citizen is waterproof, so the back unscrews. I just made a key to fit it.0

Take it to a market trader, they are usually half the price of a jeweller.
My last battery from a market trader lasted 4 years.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I'll second the market battery boys........2 minute job, all working. The only exception is my Diving watch, I have that done by a specialist, for obvious reasons....

If your Sekonda watch is a high value item then it is best to take to a jewellers. Also the same applies if it is waterproof. However if it is a cheaper variety then you should be able to prise the back off with a jewellers screwdriver set. Before doing so get a magnifying glass out to check there is no grovve or recess.0

No, neither did the jeweller when he replaced the battery without unscrewing the battery clip, thereby leaving me with a bent clip to repair in order to stop the battery from repeatedly becoming dislodged.
There's little need to have it pressure tested when I haven't used it under water for about 25 years.0 -
I use an old penknife that I ground down, it works a treat, then for birthdays christmas etc I have as presents, watch repair bits off of fleabay, they are surprisingly cheap they generally come from china so dont expect it quickly. I do all the friends and families watches as a hobby.0
