I am looking for advise on respite care, how should I be charged. I was told there would be no charge but now have a bill for over £500 Has anyone experienced how they work out these charges.

FIRST TIME I have not received any help is it that complicated? I have [aid this off now & the other bills I was sent. A bit of a lean Christmas but at least I'm not in debt. Still can't understand how I can be left with under £20 a week for everyday expenses.0

Have you asked for a break down of the charges? Who is the bill from? And who told you that you wouldn't be charged?0

was the respite organised through social services?
did they do a financial assessment?
the person that receives the respite would be paid certain benefits (DLA/PIP/ESA) also any premiums may be considered as assets0
