i noticed something weird with my iphone photo and i don't know if it's broken...

basically my friend took a selfie of me and her. In real life, she is on my right hand side, but in the photo it looks like she's on my left.

Also, I have a tattoo on my right hand, this is in the photo but it looks like it's actually on my left hand?

is my camera reversed???

On my phone when I take a selfie, the image on the screen is like in a mirror, so an object on my right appears to be on the right side of my head in the image before taking the picture. Once the picture is taken, it is flipped so that the object looks like it is to my left, which is how someone looking at me from where the camera was would see it. I don't know why it does this, but I guess it's to help you when you take the picture, and it could explain why you are being confused.
