A massive THANK YOU to Lakshmi7 for posting comps that broke a 5 month dry spell with 2 great wins. They've taken a couple of weeks to come through, but it started with an email to my wife from Mumsnet telling her that she had won £300 of Love to Shop vouchers from this one https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5339906
Then 2 days later, just after picking my son up from school, I had a call from Heart to talk about this comp https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5343387
The presenter wanted to talk about my suggestion for how to save energy by not doing something. After fumbling for a few seconds, I remembered enough to talk about how life would be so much easier if kids weren't allowed to grow up past the age of 10! (eg easier school runs, less frequent taxi-service, easier homework etc ...). Turns out that they liked my suggestion and told me that I'd won £1000 of vouchers!!
I can remember originally discounting this comp because of the 'effort' tag and that they were looking for their favourite entry - so pleased that I persisted with it and thought of something amusing to enter! Also, very relieved that they didn't call a few minutes later when I wouldn't have been able to easily stop the car.
I think that makes it the best school-run ever!!
