Do they tape an eviction notice to your door? Renting house

I know the landlord of my neighbours is in process of evicting her tenants through the court. I can see a white notice taped to their front door, but cannot see what it is.
Does a notice get put up and how long before they get evicted?
I saw them this morning and I think the notice has been there since last night.
Normally they are perfectly normal neighbours, but when their landlord last went round the police ended up attending and a lot of shouting

Go and read it if you're nosy.
Notices on doors are usually the beginning of a procedure to regain an abandoned property not to repossess a property for breach of tenancy.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I can see why the LL might want to leave a notice if the tenant has already been evicted - e.g. if the tenant turns up with the police and/or a locksmith to regain entry claiming they have been illegally evicted. Putting it on the outside of the door where it can easily be removed seems a bit odd - but maybe there's nowhere else to put it. If the tenant is still in residence I'm not sure what the point is.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

The notice would not be the notice from the landlord to the tenant giving notice but could be the notice from the court bailiffs saying we have taken possession of this property from x date, for any queries please contact x,y ,z (but this would only happen at the point of eviction when it's all been to court etc).
Another notice could bean abandonment notice as already mentioned where they are seeking possession as they believe the property had been abandoned. The only way you will know for sure is to go and read it.

Do you report teenagers to the council for dropping crisp packets from the safety of your curtain?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Could be a note to delivery people about leaving a parcel out back. Could be a note about wet paint... Just go read it.0
