How would you assess market value if not the price paid for it?

    Professional opinion.

There's plenty of historic data kept.
  • Yes they are most inaccurate because they have actually sold for more than the listed price and I think I will hold out until next year as previously stated. If you read the original post you will see that I purchased under market value hence why I would make so much money on it and the prices in the area have risen nicely too. A compete refurbishment has been done because let's face it we could afford to because of the price we paid. Let's hope the 'froth' in London lasts a bit longer. I really appreciate all the comments not acknowledging my original post, they have been most helpful.

Your question was answered in both of the first 2 replies, why would you need more people to answer it for you?

London property market is magical :f hopefully there'll be a dip in 5-10 years so I can snap something up
    Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
    Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)
  • And why would I need more people to give completely irrelevant opinions on things that weren't even asked for? Do you/people actually search the forum to give 'your opinion' on things that are completely irrelevant to the original post? I have pregnancy insomnia as my excuse to be online at this time on a Sunday morning, what's your excuse? Is it that you enjoy giving your irrelevant opinion to strangers? There's a random question completely detached from the original post.
Good luck with that dip by the way.

    Bit unnecessary really.

There will be a dip, there is every so often, just look back through history.
  • What is completely unnecessary is people's opinions which have absolutely nothing to do with what i asked. I'm still unsure as to why people would comment on something when they had no intention of offering advice on the original question. It may have been answered so why then comment? For some strange gratification perhaps. I'm well aware of the dips in the property market thanks.
  • I'm now going to unsubscribe as some have pointed out, my question has been answered. Thanks to those that took the time to answer my original question.
