dominian republic and mexico best sites for late bookings.. taking 8 year old child

fancy going here with my family and 8 year old girl...not sure which one depends on which one i get the chepest

getting jabs etc done in the next fews days or it will be too late..there are quite and few and you have to take tablets also

and going to book when i find a good deal anytime now till 5 days b4 the holiday( when is the best time)

any one know of the best resorts for kids would prefer a nice beach

and the best sites for booking late

traveling at end of june


all advice is very welcome


any other advice would be great looking to go all inclusive

in 2002 i got 2 weeks all inclusive to Dom Rep for 489 adult 289 child going last 2 weeks in August booked on the saturday went on the tuesday it was hotel allocated on arrival but we were told it would be 1 of 3 hotels & families are usually placed in family friendly hotels as the companies/hotels dont want people complaining all the time. we went to the Tropical in northernDR hotel wasnt the greatest but it was pleasant enough & the food & company was fine we met people that had paid 4000+ for what we had paid a little over 1000 for. we got the holiday off teletext(itv) caribbean page which was 208(or 206)

injections will last for 5-10 years although its best to have them 4-6 weeks before travel you just scrape in the time limit, as for how long you wait thats entirely up to you. personally i would check up every day from now on you may see a bargain(also try lastminute.com/travelocity/expedia etc), but after the half term is when the june bargains should be posted, i have no doubt that from about june 6th onwards there will be plenty of offers so happy hunting

i forgot we went to Mexico October'99 299 each free child place(she was 4 at the time) hotel was spectacular beach was great, location was brilliant hotel food was CRAP went AI but spent loads eating away from the hotel, complained when we got back but all we got was 200 pound jetsave voucher which we never used, if the holiday had been room only it would have been the best but as we never budgeted for buying food every day the old credit card took a bashing
