After 2 kids in under 2 yrs I have what a friend lovingly described as a 'kangaroo pouch' :rotfl: for a belly and and lots of baby weight around my hips and bum... what the best way to get rid of this and to tone up?

Sorry to say this - exercise!! It's the only way you'll get rid of it. Gaby Logan twin results workout is for women who have had children to get their shape back (and pelvic floor muscles;)) It's hard work but worth it in the end - I picked this up for a couple of quid in Morrisons.

Or join a gym - they will have specialist people their to tell you exactly what you need to do to tone specific areas.

Or get a tummy tuck ;) although that's not very MSE:D
  • I was considering buying some roller blades as I used to do that all the time and had great legs :P Would it work on the belly though? Can't afford a gym and the only DVD's my 2 yr old lets me put on are dora the bleedin' explorer... :rotfl:

No I have to put my workout dvd's om when I'm on my own - when kids are in bed and OH is not at home.

If you're determined to get rid of the excess then there are lots of exercises you can do on your own if you're motivated enough.

Trampolining is meant to be brill... In fact I brought a mini one (trampet) just before I fell preggers again

Something to do with gravity and something else.

Gillian Mckeith usually puts dieters on them on her show.

swimming is an alternative- can take the kiddies too ;)

Make sure your pelvic floor is pretty strong (or invest in some tena lady flood defense pants) before trying too hard on a trampoline. :o

I tried a trampette years ago not long (enough) after DD2 was born. 'Nuff said .

Breastfeeding! Should this course of action be a tad too late to implement then I would strongly suggest taking up pilates.

Invest in a Swiss ball this works better than sit ups and is easier on the back! Or instead invest in a pilates video. I have started Body Balance a combination of Tai Chi, Yoga 7 Pilates and my tummy looks better when we do the Pilates!
