Makes you wonder how they're such a big success.

Successful on selling - service and aftersales, not so much

  • Thanks, everyone! Glad I asked for more opinions
  • Another no vote for Hursts - had to take my car there over the summer (long story but local garage couldn't resolve the issue) - told it would take 2 days, phoned after three, told it was never going to be ready that soon but would be ready tomorrow, phoned tomorrow, told it would be another day. You get the picture - over a week later I finally got it back. And I had to chase every time. Luckily I don't commute and have very kind family who let me use their car when essential. No apology. Nothing off the (hugely inflated) price either. Also have a friend who bought a £40k merc from them and had the same bad experience when going back for services (at least they're equal opportunity in their bad service). Would not recommend.

After seeing their fly-on-the-wall thing on the tv, I'm amazed anyone would go near them.
Diplomatically, I'd suggest they seem to be VERY sales orientated.
Less diplomatically, obnoxiously so...was not a good advertisement for them.

My wife bought a Hyundai i10 from Mellons and had it serviced there for 5 years without any issues and hep experience with them was very positive. Personally I don't think they are any worse than any other dealership.
  • Daly's have always given me good service.
