If I use Hotmail or bank internet logins and tick the "remember my details" option they never do!
Other, less security oriented, sites such as this one do remember who I am from one session to the next so I guess it is a security setting on cookies.
The trouble is I have already tried all the obvious solutions. Under "Tools, Internet Options, Privacy" my slider control is only set to Medium, and it doesn't help even if I set it to Accept All Cookies. I tried going into "Advanced" and saying accept all cookies there, and even into the individual sites and listing the problem sites as free of all restrictions. Nothing helps.
I am running XP and it has had this behaviour ever since I installed it 6 months ago. If anybody can think of a solution then I'll be well impressed. I'm stumped.

Thanks for the reply. It wasn't that but I did then go on from there to find an aticle explaining the registry settings.
That was handy as I suspected that IE6 was not properly updating it. Sadly the zones do all apear to be set up correctly so I'm stumped once more. O well, I guess I can live with it, it's just a minor annoyance.0 -
Try deleting cookies: Tools - Internet Options - General - Delete Cookies.
Also Internet Options - Content, Autocomplete, and tick remember usernames and password, and forms.0 -
I gave it a go - it was possible the cookies had become corrupted, but sadly it hasn't helped.
I already have all the autocomplete & forms options ticked.
Thanks for the suggestion though.0
