Teletext prices

Has anyone ever got a holiday booked from Teletext at the price shown there. Reason I ask is that we are looking for a late deal(Sept 21/22 from Scotland if anyone can help!) and we seen Tenerife at a great price on Teletext. When I called the agent surprisingly it had 'gone:mad: ' but they could offer me the same holiday at £100 over the price shown on Text!.
This has happened before to us, that the price shown on Teletext is gone but 'we can offer you this or that at a good price blah blah blah' so it gets me thinking that they advertise false prices just to get you to call them.
Has anyone got a holiday at the price shown on Teletext or even lower, and if so who did you use.
Cheers for any help:beer:

Travelhouse (www.travelhouse.co.uk) advertise quite a lot on teletext which sometime don't come out too bad, but I agree, don't think I've booked a hol that I've seen advertised on teletext, most of the time I've looked they have just had months and prices from, rather than specific hotels and dates. I use it to get company names and web contacts for any other sites I've not tried. Tried phoning a couple but they seemed to be taking a while searching for flights and hotels so made my excuses and ended the call (no doubt making money on the calls via 0870!)

Most holidays advertised on Teletext are just base prices so you normally have extras such as taxes, supplements to be added on top.

Agree with what is being said regards them only giving months etc and not specific dates. Also with prices being shown just being base prices and the extras have to be added on, I understand all that but still think its a con to give you false hope to call them up when they know you want a holiday.
