I've applied for an egg card online.
If not, every £100 you spend on the Egg Card abroad will cost you £102.65 due to it's 2.65% loading on foreign transactions.
This is (one of the reasons) why I suggested Nationwide earlier - a point echoed by 'wannabedebtfree' when they mentioned the Post Office card - zero loading on foreign transactions.0 -
No it is abroad - but i just want to get a credit card fast... so i dont really care about the 2.65 % as long as i have a higher credit limit.
I went into Nationwide today, but there system was down. But they said to come in next saturday as they will be able to tell the credit availalbe when im there and the card will take about 7 days to come through.
I also went into barcalys bank. The manager phoned up barcaly card just to get a credit extension for the two weeks im away - they said no!! She couldnt beleive it either as I have a good banking history.
So as soon as these others two cards come through (if they do) barclay card can have it back!! As they have been nothing but useless0
