Mortgage after failed IVA

Hi All,

Me and my husband had a failed IVA three years ago due to redundancy, however once we were both back into work we paid all our debts off directly to the creditors and are all now satisfied.

My question is even though I have a failed IVA on my credit file will we still be able to obtain a mortgage? We have a 10-15% deposit for mortgages between 150-190K but don't want to apply until we know whether we will be successful or not?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks Claire

Speak to a whole of market broker who has placed an ex-iver in the last 6 months.

I suspect your defaults will not have fallen off your record and your deposit is a little on the low side but worth a phone call to a broker at least.

    Good lucks
