Ipod Touch searching music

Morning all,

I have an ipod touch and, while walking to work listening to it on shuffle this morning, it played a song by an artist whose album of greatest hits I had uploaded. And I thought I would like to listen to the album.

Can I find it? Can I heckerslike!

I can't even find one song by this artist when using search (whether by artist, by song or when scrolling through all albums), yet one was played as part of shuffle! Eh?!

Can anyone tell me how to find something I know is there? I have googled it but can't find any answers there. And I can't get to an Apple store yet, before anyone suggests that.

My ipod touch has done this before and worked again when I reset it. Alternatively, I've uploaded music and spent ages looking for it only to find its in an "unknown album" as an "unknown artist" because I ripped it from a CD and forgot to name it.

Not sure about this but maybe select Playlists and then Recently Played. Then perhaps you can home in on the album.
