I've been with them for 21 years but I was also not massively happy that they changed my current account to the Advantage(?) account without asking.
The account they moved you to would be the Advance account. I doesn't cost you anything and the terms aren't worse than you had but it provides you with at least 2 advantages their normal account doesn't have ("Save Together", 6% RS). It is common practice that banks can change their terms in your favour without asking for your agreement.
If you are unhappy, why not make use of one of the switch offers?0 -
I've been with HSBC for 55 years, and haven't been notified as of yet.In fact, it's the first I've heard of it.
They keep asking me to go paperless.
This being my main A/c, I keep it paper, for ID purposes.
I doubt they will accept one of their own.
I use theirs for ID to open others.
As all my others are linked to this A/c, to move would be a bit of an inconvenience.
I think it can be overcome, without losing any sleep.
they are dropping their loyalty Isa rate as well from January.0.2%, just when I was thinking of topping it up, to retain my allowance.
Can always move it in April.0
