Cheapest web url website and some hosting?

I am looking to buy a domain with some hosting for a blog. I don't want to pay too much in case I get bored of the domain but want to have a go. Are there any offers around?

Definitely avoid using the same company for domain and hosting. They will almost certainly make switching your hosting more difficult if they host your domain as well. It's an "all your eggs in one basket" analogy.0

I've not had the problem before but I'll take your advice. I am a bit out of the loop. Do they have any of those £1 offers nowadays? I can't tell what's legit and what's not.0

Expect to pay about £8 for two years for a .co.uk domain. I normally use LCN as I find they don't try to hit you with large renewal fees, and don't spam me!
Hosting ranges from free to 'how much??'. I pay £36 (incl VAT) per year and have had no complaints in the 6 or 7 years I have been with the company.
If you use those two figures as the most you'd expect to pay for a domain and hosting, then getting something cheaper will be a bonus. Just bear in mind that free hosting will normally have a lot of restrictions and the support might not be all you'd wish for.0 -
I posted up similar thread a while back. I went with falcoda.co.uk in the end.
If you pay for three or four years in advance the price to service balance is very good.0 -
get onto go daddy - they are really cheap and its one of the reasons they are the largest registrar0

Thanks everyone. I can find cheaper with hosting I think but for the last few replies, did you go with those companies for domain and hosting?0
