some Lights gone off in house, any idea why?

Any idea why only my bathroom, kitchen and hallway lights have gone off. All other lights and all electrics are working fine. Anyone any idea why and how to fix?

Have you checked your fuse board? Hopefully you'll have one that's fitted with circuit breakers and it may be as simple as one of them has tripped and needs switching to its on position again.
  • Thanks, found the fuse box and one of the levers was down and I pressed it up and the lights came back on.

Why do you think it happened in the first place? Do you think it will happen again?

Has a bulb blown? That can trip it. Otherwise if it keeps doing it something is faulty, if it doesn't keep doing it then it was just one of those things.

Bathroom and kitchen would suggest possible moisture. If EssexExile's advice doesn't work and the problem persitsts. Start by either leaving lights switched off (or take bulbs out if there are a few on one switch) until you isolate the problem fitting. Try just changing the bulb first and if that doesn't work get an electrician (or if confident change the fitting).
