Unrecognised transactions

Hi there,
I have two unauthorised transactions on my bank account for what I think is a hotel. I have never been to the hotel and never heard of it! It amounts to over £1000.
I was wondering is it better for me to go in branch or should I call them first?
Its barclays.

Call them straight away so they can block the card to prevent further fraudulent use.0

Thank you, already done that now. Nightmare, I'm with talk talk so hoping it wasn't connected to that some way!0

what a coincidence, given the difficulties with your grandparent's account only yesterday. Could they be connected?
<curious>The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
I did wonder if there was some sort of connection between the two, my account and my granddads but wasn't sure. I guess that's worth looking at, I mean we are both customers of talk talk too so hoping it's not related to that. Any idea how they might have gotten both details?
Have to admit that given what's been happening lately with all the hackings, I'm really nervous about using any form of online banking or paying now.
I've reported them and it looks as if they were charged to my old card which I cancelled but Barclays took three days to block because the lady int he Paddington branch hadn't done it. So they can see it's unusual. No it was the Royal Albion.0 -

Have you used the same computer to access both sets of accounts? Could be a virus on a PC. My amazon account was hacked recently and I found a virus on my PC - thought AVG was doing automatic scans and it wasn't so it was inevitable really.0 -
Thanks for that. Yeah I use my own laptop and my grandparents use their tablet but we do also have a PC that we all use. I'll look in to this. Thank you.0
