Personal Injury claim against my son

In 2013 my son was involved in a car accident.. he was with Admiral at the time. The other party used a claims 4 U type lawyer and put him through the mill... (we were in the car behind and it genuinely was 50:50 but he was young and she lied...a lot)
It was finally settled April 2015...he lost.
Tonight we got home to a personal injury claim from the woman. It would be laughable if it wasn't so stressful. Her medical reports say she had a few bruises and a stiff leg... she's claiming 5k!!! She also lied , claiming she lost consciousness (she really didn't... my daughter, a doctor was also there... the woman got straight out of her car!) and didn't even bother going to her gp for a week.
Anyway, can anyone advise us what to do? I rang Admiral tonight as my son is at work, and they said as far as they are concerned the claim is settled! (He's with a different car insurance now as well)
Are they obliged to reopen the claim, is a personal injury claim different?
If anyone can offer advice please do. My son doesn't have 5k and we would be hard pressed to pay for an independent lawyer..or know where to start!
Thanks!

Let presume you mean a court claim.
NEVER PHONE !
WRITE !
Keep a certificate of postage (free from post office).
Write to your insurance LEGAL OFFICER.
Including a copy of the claim and state you will be filing a defence of "Indemnity" with the insurance companion as cited indemnity party.
This defence will be sent to the court in 7 days if no reply is made, include a contact number and stick firmly to the plan.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -

This claim should be forwarded (unanswered) to the Admiral claims department, along with any other correspondence he gets over this.
If the claim is accepted, then Admiral will be paying it!0
