Morning all! Well I have already gone way over budget for the week (see signature) by putting lots of credit on my phones, but I'm hoping this will pay off later in the month as I'll get free texts on one. It's been good for me anyway setting a bigger budget which included everything (apart from bills and groceries) rather than having a weekly one and this vague 'everything else' budget which always gets overspent on - am much more aware of where money is going!
Anyway, today - £30 on mobile credit (should last rest of month, hopefully), £2 on bus fares and whatever I spend on night out tonight, aiming for no more than £25 as that's what I've got in my purse.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Today's gonna be a big spend as I'm off out witht he girls for my birthday (which was a coupla weeks ago but I was away) tonight for a meal then as many cocktails and vodkas as I can get down my neck as possible before I fall down :rotfl:
Before that, need to get my eyebrows waxed and am gonna treat myself to a sunbed to try and brighten me up as I feel like a bagof !!!! today!
And if I can't find anything vaguely flattering I'm gonna hit he Metrocentre this afternoon and buy something!
Can you tell I'm having a bad day?

Knickers! Well the NSD didn't last long.....popped in to Mr T's on the way back from the osteopath and spent about £10 on gawd knows what. Grrr. Did manage to get a nice lavender plant for the garden for £2 reduced from £5 so that was a bit of a Brucey bonus lol.
Fingers crossed the rest of the day will be cheap!0 -
afternoon chappies and chapettes!
so far today I've spent £1.30 on my bus to work, £3 odds on lunch (pasta looked SOOOOO bogging!). Got a works night out tonight think we're having dinner in the pub then booze up. I'm planning on going round to a friends house for a bit after so shouldn't spend too much...but the best laid plans and all that!0 -
HI all,
After a week of getting prescriptions on a daily basis, I'm pleased to confirm it's a nsd for me, yippie! Plus I wont get paid until the 28th so going to make sure I don't spend much.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr DS and friend managed to con me into 2 99p pizzas from iceland. I'm sure i was hoodwinked as i didn't notice them till i got to the till...but on saying that....£1.98 for 2 growing boys for their dinners is swallowable (is there such a word? if not, i just made it up so deal with it) Paid the phone bill and splashed out 2.99p on a bottle of wine for dinner (helps that oH works at bookers....staff discount and all that) no more spending today for me0

I get the same in Tesco - I am CONVINCED that they employ staff to put bars of 'Tesco Value Milk Chocolate' into my trolley when I'm not looking. :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
