BG Homecare 200 Question - HELP plssssss

I have British Gas Homecare 200 (had it for 4 years now, had a service done Feb this year)

I have a Combi Boiler... the pressure keeps dropping on the boiler (I'm having to top back up to 1bar every day).
This started last week. Key points:

*If the hot water has been off for a while and I turn it on I can hear a rattling of pipes (ony happens if I haven't used hot water for about 30mins+). This started last week same time as the water started losing pressure.

*I have not had the heating on for approx 2 weeks now. Not had heating on when pressure drops (only used hot water)

*I have no leaks that I can detect on rads or piping (I've checked high and low)

*There is no water coming out of the overflow at the back of the boiler.

*British Gas have been out today filled pressure back upto 1bar, checked all rads for leaks and said they can't help anymore??? they reckon it's a leak in the hot water pipes and that they don't cover it???
They reckon the rattling of pipes when I turn Hot water on has nothing to do with problem and that it is coincidense that this started at the same time as the prioblem started.

Does Homecare 200 cover leaks in the HOT water pipes/system.

    Yes it clearly does. See:

Thanks for the reply, I did have a look at their site and it does say that it covers boiler, controls, radiators, pipework, and hot water, but looking at the terms and condition:

    * central heating water pipes if there is a water leak;

seems to come under the plumbing section which is covered by Homecare 300.

Confused.... :( can anyone clarify. has anyone else got Homecare 200 and called BG out for a water leak in the hot water system?

Sounds like British Gas Homecare 200 is not worth paying good money for!

I can only see that exclusion under the Flexiplan.

If Homecare 200 covers 'pipework' surely that must cover 'CH water pipes'?

We have Homecare 200 and called out BG to fix a leak about 6 months ago.

The leak was between the pump and the hotwater pipes. They fixed it with no problems.
    something missing

Cheers all, spoke to a manager and they have been out now (didn't expect it this soon but.... not complaining).. :) They found a leak in the extension area and fixed it. Hopefully that should be it... I will know for sure by tomorrow morning.

Manager has said that he will even get someone out next week to put leak sealant (normally £50) in the system - which they don't normally include in the service.

My faith is restored in BG (a little)

Then they will most probably tell you that your whole system needs a power flush costing hundreds of pounds!

    Sorry but mine isn't!
