Which supplier after gas installation? (from electricity only)
Options
Hi
I purchased a property last year which only had electricity and night storage heaters. I've been with Southern Electric and the electricity supply seemed to be seperated into two parts, one for night rate (heating) and the other for general consumption.
In September I had gas ran to the property, and central heating at the end of this month.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a supplier? The saving money forms are obviously aimed at people switching (dual) supplier but don't cater for people switching from electricity only to gas/electricity.
I've read a lot about BG's fixed price deal, would this be a given as the best option....or should I contact SE too?
Apologies if these appear trivial or stupid queries, my first house and don't want to sign up to something if it's the wrong option.
Thanks in advance!

It's probably easiest to sign up with SE initially, you can then come up with an estimate of your annual gas usage and shop around for the best deal, ensuring you pocket some cashback for a dual-fuel switch. I think the MSE Cheap Energy Club incorporates a usage calculator.0
