Morning all,
the sun is shining through the mist...
My news, well Grandson has a rash.... my daughter is taking him to the doctors. She's been sending me pictures of it. I think she uses too much fabric softener but i'm not an expert. Ive suggested she cuts back on how much she uses. Its certainly not a measles/chickenpox type rash. Its like a hives sort of rash if that makes sense.
My neighbour has just been round. She asked us if we had seen one of her cats that had gone missing a few days ago. Well she came to tell me this morning that they found her cat. It hadnt been run over but its strongly suspected its been poisoned. She phoned the police to be told that its the second report of a suspected cat poisoning along my road. The other cat didnt survive either. Dont get me wrong, her cats drove me round the bend dropping dead things in my garden but i wouldnt wish that on any cat. Poor woman was heartbroken.
Just a bit of vacuuming to do today and a bit of steam cleaning. Might cut a bit more hair off one of the dogs. She still looks like a bear.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Good morning (just)
Weather better than yesterday, no fog at least. Had a nail appointment this morning, so I am ready to face the world.
I went out with the "girls" I used to work with last night to W*therspoons. Had a lovely steak. extremely tender. I always come home hoarse though, because it is difficult to catch up with everyone's news because of all the back ground noise. Anyway it was lovely to see them all, and we have arranged to meet up in December, before Christmas.
I want to clean the bathroom this afternoon and have a tidy up in my wardrobe. It is bin day tomorrow so if I need to throw anything away today would be a good day..
Have a good day all

Well done Dumpling for going out, I hope DH had a lovely birthday.0 -
Good afternoon everyone :hello:
It was a bit rainy this morning but it's cheered up lovely now. I spent the morning knitting an owl and it's so cute. I want to make a few more before my knitting corner gets packed away before Christmas. I've just put a bit of pasta on for my lunch so while it is cooking I thought I would catch up with everybody's news.
The postie brought me a load more parcels today including a couple of Yankee Candles I'd ordered. They smell gorgeous and I have the spiced apple one burning as I write.
Tru, I'm so glad Scampi is getting on with his Halti, it sounds just the thing for a more comfortable walk for the pair of you. Max is his usual mad self, he gets so excited when parcels are delivered and then you can see the disappointment in his eyes when they are not for him. I think I will be trawling Ebay later for some more soft toys for him to disembowel.
Hubby had a lovely birthday yesterday, he said his steak was fantastic and he enjoyed the other two courses as well. It is our anniversary on the 1st of December and he always makes me a lovely meal for that so that's something else to look forward too.
Well, I think my pasta is ready so I will love you all and leave you. Hope you have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
I have to admit to having to google Halti harnesses ... they are like normal harnesses but different.:D
I havent been updating you as to developments to the Baby House in SA mainly because i havent had many updates myself. I know they have had an adoption, i know they had a massive fund raiser which was successful but i've had to ask my daughter for updates as we seem to have fallen out of the habit of regular updates. Partly as she is busy and ive stopped pestering her.
Anyway, the latest addition they had in the Baby House arrived today. He was born 2 weeks ago and his name is Joshua.
A few pictures for you to see.

His Mother was a prostitute who didnt want anything to do with him.
For those of you who are new. My daughter and her partner live in South Africa and they have set up a baby home for abandoned and unwanted babies of which there are many. They adopted their very first baby into the home a few months back. His name is Soldier. Theres a reason behind his name but i dont want to bore you all with the finer details. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Afternoon all
Well done Scampi, hugs to csarina and anyone else in need. Judi, love the update, Dumpling, glad hubby liked his steak, nice to see you candygirl.
Another day from hell today, hysterical phone call from FIL, as BIL2 had told him no one was allowed to visit MIL any more. I phoned the hospital and it's just BIL2 being an Ahole again.
Then had to arrange for BIL4 to take FIL to visit MIL as he is too scared of BIL2 to go on his own. MIL is pining for FIL, so we will take him tomorrow, if I don't swing for BIL2 before this is over it will be a miracle.
My lovely contact at the hospital who is helping with all this said to me 'You seem to be supporting so many members of the family. Who is supporting you?' I sat at my desk and sobbed once I'd put the phone down.
On a lighter note, DGS had his first drum lesson today & loved it.
Ham & mushroom omelette for tea tonight, I CBA to do anything more complicated
.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Judi, he is gorgeous, but what a sad story, I hope he is well.
Hester, I hope a good cry has helped relieve some of the stress. You really must look after yourself, you were so ill not so long ago. I think it's time the brothers told BIL2 where to go. He is making everything so much more stressful for everyone.
Hugs to you and yours

Evening everyone
HH - Thinking of you and your hubby - it's so hard when you get stuck in the middle of such an awful situation. Your contact at the hospital is right though, who is looking after you? Please take it steady.
Keep safe and well

H/H hang in there honey xxx
Just back from the cinema with DGD Holly,we saw the new James Bond movie which was quite entertaining. Lots of unbelievable explosions and special effects ,what I call a boys toys film:):):) But it was a nice afternoons outing in a damp and cold November. She bought two huge buckets of cola ,one of which I have barely got through a third, so that's in the fridge at the moment to drink later on this evening.Bless her she gets a 25% discount on stuff as she has a cinema pass that she pays for monthly and apparently a big cola for two is as cheap as one ordinary one for one IYSWIM
:):)
Tonight its feet up and TV and some knitting, I have got a piece of chicken out of the freezer this morning and will have that tonight with mash and veg.
Tomorrow my gardener comes to put my garden to 'bed' for the winter.
Hope everyone has had a good day.Dark already and getting quite misty again I'm glad I'm tucked up indoors in the warm
Cheers chums
