Husband. He has everything! Maybe he should get no gift?

Every year my husband reminds me of the latest electronic gift his is interested in around June. This year he is perfectly content on electronics and doesn't want anymore. So I asked him what he wanted... he said he has everything and not to worry about a Christmas gift...
Maybe he just wants me to figure it out on my own. Anyone have unique suggestions? Thank you!

I am in the same boat as your husband, lucky enough to have everything I want and every year I say the same thing - that I don't want anything for xmas and every year I get a load of things that I have no interest in or use for (last 3 years gifts are in the attic still boxed. If he says he doesn't want anything he may well mean it, I certainly do.
The best possible christmas present for me would be to waken on christmas morning and be told I was not allowed to do anything to help out for the day - a day where I only did what I wanted to do that would be bliss.0 -
I can't really relate to this as my husband loves gifts and there's always something he wants (although we don't have the money to buy what we want throughout the year.) Are there any tickets you could buy him to see a show or one of those experience days? Or does he have a favourite restaurant that you could promise to take him to?0

I simply tell people get me something I can eat or drink. So a selection of good quality beers (no mass produced rubbish), a half decent bottle of wine or spirits. I seem to be getting more so now a box of liquorice allsorts!
I don't want pointless rubbish cluttering up my house just because somebody feels obliged to get me something!.....0 -
Be careful with experience days as they often have added costs such as:
Insurance just in case you total a Ferrari, Aston Martin etc.
If you want to to have your experience on a Saturday or at a reasonable hour of the day......0 -
My dh is the same, if he wants or needs something, he buys it himself, so birthdays & Christmas are a nightmare!
This year he has asked for a portable radio for work.
He will also get a few books (I know what he likes to read, so these are always a safe bet), a new heated car seat cover, and a few quote t-shirts (he loves funny t-shirts, and this means he finally gives a few tatty ones to charity each year).
We only spend around £50 on each other for Xmas, and then treat ourselves to a joint gift. Last year was a new TV for the bedroom, this year he has booked us tickets to silverstone next year! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

Hear hear Dave!If I want or need something, I just buy it - I want to choose it myself and shop around for the best deal - I'd rather not have to wait until Christmas to receive something I could just get myself when I need it.
And I don't ever want most of the overpackaged fake special offer crap that comes in the avergage gift set from Boots or similar.
So I too am perfectly happy for any gifts to be of the edible kind. My choice would be gin, preferably something more imaginative than Gordon's, or good chocolates, not cheap mass market rubbish like Thornton's or Celebrations etc.
Although I do quite like Ferrero Rochers and if anyone only has a fiver to spend, a bottle of cava or prosecco, even just that from Aldi or Lidl, will be very much appreciated.0 -
You could treat him to a weekend away ..... I did this one year - My husband opened his gift on Christmas eve -it was a new weekend bag with the tickets inside for New Year in Vienna (a place that was very special to him)
I try to buy something the OH wouldn't buy for themselves - tickets to a concert work well - with all the reforming bands there's usually something that they loved in their youthI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I think something to do is better than something to have. Whether that's an experience day, a gig, a festival, holiday or even a trip to a theme park.
Or something to eat/drink that's nice and posh!0 -
A couple of Cinema tickets?0
