help with improving credit score

Hi there,
I'm currently saving to get a mortgage on a house. I've been looking at my credit score for the past few months and as far as I can see it's stagnant/ slightly in decline.
I have a credit card but because I have such poor credit from never borrowing before I could only get £250 on it. This is fine for me I only use it to pay for shopping and then pay it off in full each month. I also am on the electoral roll.
I still have low credit according to all the major credit rating companies. I want to increase it but I don't know how, I can up my monthly limit on my credit card till august and I don't want to be applying for more credit cards.
I know that improving credit is a marathon not a sprint but I've been checking my credit for the past 6 months+ any hints or tips, ways to prove to creditor I'm not a risk?
Thank you in advance

First step is to ignore the score.
Second step is to ensure the data on your files is correct.
Thirdly, ignore the score.
Fourth, continue to use your card as you are.
Lastly, remember to ignore the score.0 -
And again-ignore the score.
My "score" indicates I'd be likely to be charged higher APR rates (or even declined) according to Noddle.
That's why Tesco Bank gave me a loan of £7,500 at 3.6% recently then! It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
