Butt Hinge Soft Close Options

What options are out there for adding soft close functionality to kitchen cupboards which have Butt hinges?
I have had a quick Google and cannot find anything. It looks as though the Magnetic Pressure catches would work but they all seem to have the Push To Open added into them for handleless cabinets
Thanks in advance

Have a look here http://www.blum.com/gb/en/01/20/10/ I'm not sure if these are what you want though, they're what I have in my kitchen.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0

These are a fairly cheap retro fit option that doesn't require specific cabinet hinges

Thank you for the reply but I do not think that type will work
We have Butt hinges so they do not have any closing mechanisms built into the hinges themselves unlike new standard kitchen cupboard hinges
If I fitted these and tried to close the door it would simply bounce straight back as the soft close is too hard. I need a really weak soft closer or a magnetised spring type solution I think but cannot find anything0 -
Thanks Kiran
They may do the trick. I do not know how I missed them on their website earlier. With the adjustable damping they may be exactly what I need. I will grab a box and see0 -
The ones in my link above are low resistance but once the cupboard door hits resistance it will stop unless you have some form of sprung mechanism to keep the pressure on. You can change the hinges for sprung butt hinges if the need to remainSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

If they are butt hinges then there is no spring in the hinge so adding a soft close won't work.
For a soft close to work there needs to be a spring in the hinge trying to force the door shut and the "dampner" softclose stops the doors from slamming shut and slowly compresses to allow the door to shut slowly/quietly.
You can get sprung butt hinges which could work but that would mean chiseling out the butt hinge recess so the new hinge fits and then you could use a "dampener" to stop it slamming but they are horrendously expensive hinges.. Will see If I can post a link if I can find them.
An alternative is to fill in the hinge housings with timber and fit "Blum" style kitchen hinges with integrated soft close mechanism but its a lot of work.0 -
I've never seen sprung butt hinges in kitchen cabinet sizes, they are usually fitted to big fire doors in commercial buildings.
THESE boys might be able to make you something but they aint going to be cheap.
How do your doors shut, do they just click into ball catches or similar or do they actually have door stops0
