Amazon Fire stick and Chrome stick?

Hi Guys

We are looking at getting one of these sticks that will give us films, we currently buy 2nd hand dvd's from cex and amazon and thinking this is a better option instead of buying dvd's and also instead of getting lovefilm or Netflix? which stick is better or is there a different type, I am looking at newish films and no films that are older than 90's, not saying I have anything against older type films but its just not my choice of films to watch :)

thanks

Where are you going to source your films from ?

Chrome stick has no films on it .
Amazon uses Amazon store services .
  • Chromecast won't let you Amazon Prime Video, but Amazon will. Both can use netflix

Chromecast will let you share whats on your browser/phone screen (android) to your TV

Big thing - you need a phone/tablet/pc to control a chromecast, but a Amazon fire tv stick has its own remote control

I prefer the Amazon Fire Stick. I don't personally pay for movies as there are so many sources where you can watch the latest movies for free so I don't see the point paying for a movies package.

Amazon Fire Stick does have Netflix on it.

You can also watch Amazon exclusive series which you can't do on any other device and may not yet be on streaming services.
