Yup, looks like we just missed the letter. We have a Santander 123, so after 20+ years with RBoS, it might be time to say goodbye.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

What I can't understand is why RBS haven't written to existing select current account holders inviting them to consider the new account. Do they just want switchers from other banks?
Natwest sent me and the other Select account holders in my household a letter about the new account in the last week. If you haven't received one yet, no doubt you will eventually..

If you're in England it's not an option with RBS.
Some people have been left on Gold Cheque accounts, but primarily those with hefty base-related overdraft limits which were being heavily used.
Seemingly those who would have seen significant cost increases for their borrowing were given a stay of execution.0 -

When your mother is at the bank, she should check that she hasn't opted out of marketing mailings. When I used to work in complaints, not at RBS, we sometimes used to get customers saying "You never told me about this new product" - but on checking their original application form, they had ticked the box to say they didn't want to receive details of any other products.0
