    Of course, the landlord does not have to agree but might prefer a working tenant as opposed to a Housing Benefit claimant, or someone that could be at risk of rental arrears.

    Some landlords will agree if the original tenant pays up to when a new replacement tenant is found so they are not out of pocket.

    Has he any interest in gaining a TEFL qualification and/or teaching english overseas or in the UK.

    When I graduated, there were loads of companies wanting young grads to teach in Japan, etc, and now China is a big market.
