this could be hard to keep moving - as we would be living in it. we have looked in our area but there is nothing so we need to look further afield. i am worried of uprooting my daughter - i am already looking into schooling for her and she does regular dancing classes (though this i suppose i could find elsewhere). any ideas appreciated. thanks

Wrong time IMO. Well and truely missed the boat.0

Not a good time to take the risk with a cooling market, especially with a child to support. I'd recommend against it.0

Not a good idea/time in my opinion.
Interest rates up.
Market awash with properties that are already not selling/reducing
Credit crunch - hard to borrow any money
If you want to put her off the idea, send her to housepricecrash - they'd scare anybody.0 -

Builder makes it a slightly less worse idea. I still think it's the wrong time though. there's just too many people already doing it. And prices are definitely on the wrong side of the curve.
This whole Financial mess and credit crunch is going to make a huge impact on an already bad situation in my opinion. I really do think things are going to get ugly soon.
It's surprising how little mainstream coverage the financial mess has got. You wouldn't know there was a problem if that's all you used.0 -
Doozergirl will be along shortly...0
